Welcome to the UCAR Community Building Program

In April 2007, UCAR launched the community building program in order to catalyze and coordinate activities that contribute to UCAR's goal of connecting to an increasingly diverse society.

The Community Building Program encourages participatory science: working with historically underserved communities, both internationally and in the US.

We do research and education that addresses community priorities while advancing understanding of the atmosphere

Leverage UCAR resources to develop capacity

UCAR's unique expertise is in supporting the research community; CPB will leverage that expertise to offer more diverse communities the opportunity to execute their own research agenda.

Focus on leveraging existing activities and coordinating pre-existing networks, both within UCAR and with our external partners.
