Diversity Summit A collaborative effort by the university community to establish partnerships with minority serving institutions to develop undergraduate programs in the geosciences at MSIs and improve recruitment and retention of diverse students in the geosciences at all institutions.
Planning for Seven Generations Conference This conference approached climate change from two perspectives; one rooted in indigenous experiences and one born of present-day science. The overarching goal was to look for opportunities for the two perspectives to point to shared strategies for understanding, adapting to, and mitigating climate change, with a particular focus on American Indian Lands.
